The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination every year to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in Delhi Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and National Investigation Agency (NIA).

For letter writing, topics may include official, semi-official, or personal letters.

For precise writing, candidates may be given a passage and will be required to write a summary of the passage in their own words.
